So it seems a left government will soon be formed (hopefully). But what could happen if they reject the budget plans by the EU? Is Greece gonna become a third-world country? Is it likely to become a communist island in a sea of capitalism? And what about all the property they sold like harbours etc? So what do you all think will become of Greece in the near future?
What is going to happen is not a kind of formation of so-called "leftist" government, but an application of help of the ruling class and plutocracy in its status of inability to rule which were obliged to insert Syriza, rather a social democrat party than a leftist one into the restoration period. These restoration periods are often used as reducing the level of radicalization of the popular classes and their revolutionary demands. What is not going to happen in the next election is a revolution, a leftist government, leaving the Eurozone or clashing with austerity package extracters, or in any election in any time in any where by all means.
Within the extent of revolutionary state, Greece has come to a stage where Lenin describes as "the rulers are incapable of ruling, and the ruled are not able to be ruled". As far as I can see, the people of Greece exactly know what they don't want, -the austerity packages, ND and PASOK - and what is against their interest, but on the other hand the general political tendencies put forwards that the people of Greece have yet not discovered the alternative and the replacement of what they do not want, - a socialist programme - . Simple as it seems, but an actual complication.
There are two main probable alternatives I've come up for near future,
- As Syriza (most likely will form a coalition government) deepen the political crisis (which I believe is definetely what is going to happen), the middle classes lacking the existence of the vanguard party and being afraid of proletarianization will radicalize their demands and polarize their positions towards fascism (possible rising of GD). The bourgeois will play the decisive role here, it may as well come up with another solution in which it will attract upper middle class and middle class to its political orientation concessively both in economic and political means.
- A vanguard party will appear and step into the war-zone where it has to confront and fight against the euro-communist/social democrat Syriza, neo-nazi GD both physically and ideologically and come up with a concrete programme improving the struggle of the working class and orienting itself around it, polarizing middle classes towards its political stance and declaring a total and lumpsum war against exploitive classes of Greece and imperialism. On one hand, the vanguard will not leave the field of popular demands to Syriza while ideologically projecting its actual class-oriented identity, will at the same time maintain the anti-fascist struggle against GD and the potectors of the state and in the final analysis focus its energy to seize the power.
As being the weakest chain of the European Union, Greece cannot be discarded by international sovereigns and a possible breakdown of the state of Greece should never be underestimated by revolutionaries. I myself, do not believe that this transition period will end in favor of Syriza where it is charged with the duty of preventing the radicalization of demands. Basically, near future will rise on the pre-stages of these two main alternatives. We'll all see where it will evolve.
