I saw some video arguing communism, and it said there would be no variety. What do you guys think? In communism, anarcho-communism, etc. I understand that it's important to make sure we have homes, food, essentials, but once we do that, and everything is fine, how will we diversify our goods? Of course we don't everyone to have the same car, same clothes, same everything, so what are your thoughts?

By producing a diversity of goods. Yeah it sounds pretty simple but that's because it is. Incidentally there's no real diversity of goods in capitalist society. Just thought I'd drop that one in there.

Well, I meant different brands, and whatnot. Thanks though.

There's no reason to think that there wouldn't be diversity in goods. Socialism takes over capitalisms highest level of production, and part of that production has to do with producing a variety of goods. I'd only see this variety suffering in the first stage or two when resources and what not have to be geared towards fixing the disparity that capitalism created.

brands are as far as I understand a product of capitalism. With a new mode of production, there probably wouldn't be brands as we know it, but a diversity/variety of goods, sure

I actually tend to think most things will be fully customizable, and we won't have to rely on branding anymore. Which, suffice it to say, will provide for far more variety.
