here are some of the lyrics
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' in the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found

I really love the Black Eyed Peas...always have, and especially because that song sends a good message. I hate all the new rap that only talks about their BLING BLING.... gives kids the wrong message that material goods are all thats important in this world...

I thought "Where is the Love?" was great...
...until they followed it up with "Shut Up"

"Shut Up" was truly an awful song.
I didn't think "Where is the Love?" was a particularly shabby song, although it struck me as if someone decided to give "Propaganda" by Dead Prez a pop makeover. Propaganda is a much better song.
I also think it's disgusting that Justin Timberlake is on their album.

I don't think "Shut Up" is a particularly bad song it just had a diffrent message than "Where is the Love" about relationships and the quirky ways that they can end.
Why does he know she gotta move so fast
Love is progress if you could make it last
Why is it that you just lose control
Every time you agree on takin it slow
So why does it got to be so damn tough
Cuz fools in lust could never get enough of love
Showin him the love that you be givin
Changing up your livin
For a lovin transistion
Girl lip so much she tryin to get you to listen
Few mad at each other has become our tradition
You yell, I yell, everybody yells
Got neighbors across the street sayin
“Who the hell?!?”
Who the hell?
What the hell's going down?
Too much of the bickering
Kill it with the sound and

I thought it was a completely horrible song with great lyrics.

I've heard only where is the love? and I think that it's a great song though I don't really much like rap. I mean it's not my favourite music but I like some rap, but where is the love is better than average. And the lyrics are really good.

I'll have to agree with urban rubble on this one, great lyrics that actually mean something for a change, but it sounds terrible.

I loved the whole song the first time I heard it but it's old and over played now and gets really annoying. The lyrics are great though. They should make a rock version of it.

I really liked this song. I think because I missed most of the overplayin o it while I was away it meant I didnt grow sick if it while all my friends seemed to. Its got some of the best lyrics i've heared in a long time.

My personal opinion is that great music will save horrible lyrics long before great lyrics save a horrible song.
But I guess a "horrible song" is entirely a matter of taste. Myself, I found "Shut Up" to be annoying as hell.

I actually have to admit I prefer Shut Up, but that's cos Where is the Love was so over played, and I think that was a big mistake because I think people stop taking on the message after a certain point. But I don't mind them, better than 50 cent, anyone seen his P I M P video? That's so degrading!!!!! (god, I sound like senorache now!! (not in abad way of course)).
