I'm taking public speaking in high school and for one of the projects I'm going to present two songs to the class. The purpose of this speech is to expose my ignorant class to music that they're not used to and have never heard of. I wanna know the meanings of the songs and I figured I'd come here and ask to get the opinions of multiple people. I picked the songs For the Revolution by Kalmah and Beaten and Left blind by Landmine Marathon. I'm pretty sure of the meaning of the first song but I'm struggling to comprehend the second. I wasn't really sure where to post this by the way.
Kalmah - For the Revolution:
To the mighty star, to all its people, to the mankind
And to all true believers
You have known your brother and your leader
You know he never bowed to the despots

The dark cloud wavering in the sky
Pushed forward with ill-willed wind
Underneath walks a man having a dream
Wants to teach us his own way to live
Forgiveness is the word that he spreads
Through the barrels of the guns he have made
Entire world he wants to obey
And more power for himself to take

What does he want from us? What is the reason?
To occupy and to conquer, in the name of freedom?
We don't need his principle in revolt we shall rise
Soon he will notice that no-one converts us

The protest marchers fill up all the streets
Soon will bleed in the hands of police
The peaceful riot dispersed by the fire
In our eyes burning bright we will fight
So my brother, reach out your hand
And receive the true meaning of faith
The seed of the war has been plant
Stand firm

For the Revolution
We rise, We die

Amber lights illuminate all guns blazing
I am the whip of God lashing you down
This land that yesterday leaked nectar
Now nothing but a battlefield opened wounds
bleeding

I can smell the gun oil in my hands
When I'm taking away empty shells
I can see someone falling down dead
So the game is about to begin
Our faith is our bedrock
We shall not give up till we drop
And we wonder, we cannot understand
The meaning

For the Revolution
We rise, We die

Landmine Marathon - Beaten and Left Blind: This is the one I'm struggling to understand.

God will never answer or take a gentle hand
Upon your final eye she rescues only men
His presence may be begged on every broken knee
But god will never save the innocent or free
Cut off the top of their heads
Cut off the bottom of their feet
Spilling the blood of your sisters
Grin as they die from deceit
Right and loving girl
Wear this scum around your neck
To cover sin and sadness as they break their bread
Gluttony pays in silken rags
Greed tempts the chaste eyes
Hearth ashes graze the skin and sleep
Burning the past and letting it die
Your god is dead
Two sisters summon for creature
To lay and wash their soiled beds
Heavy toils it endures
Lashes she procures from man
Eating scum of man
Teeth drag
Scraping faeces and ingesting entrails
Scraping faeces and ingesting entrails
Deserving a time filled with only carnage
Grinning false brides battered corpses
Fit into coffins five hands long
Desperate women sacrifice layers
Of silken skin to wear
Toes plucked like berries releasing crimson juice
Lust for a carving wicked of plenty
Swoop down and pluck out each eye
Claw a cross on to their chests
God left us beaten and blind

Also this has nothing to do with the post but I read the Communist Manifesto which I bought from the local book store as well as two other books for three dollars :) I bought Das Kapital and Marx & Engels Basic Writings on Politics and Philosophy.

1st songs seems a skeptic's view of revolution... or an anarchist/libertarian critique of cults of personality. It seems to say that we listen to verbose rhetoricians who lead us to death and misery; that "revolutionary authorities" often close the door behind them and start a new age of repression.

2nd seems like a feminist critique patriarchy, involvement in and support of it... all the while hoping one day G-D will save them; a day that will never come.
