I heard an interview today with a journalist who's been in Azerbadjan for the whole ESC. It was mostly about the not so democratic nature of the country. However she also said there was an ESC fan club that decided to ditch the official after party and held their own thing illegally outside of Baku. A thousand people, dancing and singing. Azerbadjan is also not big on LGBT rights which was also one reason the ESC fan club group did not feel welcome at the official celebration. The journalist said people even felt safe enough for some same sex making out on the dancefloor of the "illegal" party. So awesome. And you know as that old chant goes: we're here, we're queer, get used to it. If any one have anything more on this I'd love to see it.
