I stumbled across a Wikipedia page of this Bolshevik lad, and I can't seem to find or remember his name for the life of me. I'll try to mention the details I can remember about him, maybe one of you can help me out.
I believe he was a bit eccentric (vulgar, foul-mouthed; something like that), which turned a lot of the party members away. In fact, most of them wanted to kick him out of the party, but Lenin intervened, which was the only thing that kept him in. He was with the Bolsheviks pre-revolution, I believe. He died before Stalin became General Secretary. I wish I knew more; he seemed like an interesting guy.

He's not there... I even tried looking at other related categories. No luck.
I suppose I'll never know.

Do you remember how he died? Did he die violently, assassinated, killed in the Civil War, etc?

Yes, the page wasn't to be found which is strange. I know I didn't hallucinate it.

I don't remember how he died, but I'm pretty sure it was neither of the three.

Just wondering, not as an insult or anything, but what is the point of searching for an obscure Bolshevik? Does he have any historical significance?

Bank Robbery? Faking insanity and escaping prison? Not bad for an obscure Bolshevik.;)

There are no banks that Bolsheviks cannot storm!

Sverdlov woulda been a hundred times more famous in our day if he didn't die from typhus. That one guy who faked insanity I heard of though, totally nuts.

About a month ago I finshed reading Three Who made a Revolution by Bertram Wolfe. Wolfe was a Cold War liberal by the time e wrote this but its an interrsting account nevertheless.
I vaguely remember someone, ethnic Russian, who for a time managed the bank robbery ring and was worked briefly at the Tiflis Observatory, the same place that Djugashvili later worked at.This guy was foul mouthed and uncouth, Lenin liked him and brought him to the national organisation.
