How Revolutionary are most of the people on here... are you a true Revolutionary or do you just talk a good game around a coffee table and say " yah man when the revolution comes" The fact is not one of us are true revolutionarys. were Reformists because we actually dont do anything that would be considered a revolution.. but maybe im wrong... strong healthy debate starts now

Not really (a 'strong healthy debate'). You've already made up your mind about the whole of RevLeft and what we do. No a very useful place to start a 'debate' if one of the participants already thinks he knows what the result is.
Your conception of 'revolution' is very distorted. Tiny groups of revolutionaries don't make a revolution, the working class taking massive actions to defend its own interests is a revolution. The political minorities don't make that happen; they can be part of it, but if it isn't happening we can't make it happen.
You don't understand what reformism is. reformism is the belief that capitalism can be reformed to benefit the working class - reformed into socialism. Maybe you do believe that, maybe you are a reformist; but some of us see that capitalism and the state must be destroyed.
Some people prefer the term 'pro-revolutionary' because you can't be a revolutionary if there isn't a revolutionary situation. I don't buy it, I'm happy to call myself a revolutionary. I believe that the revolutionary overthrow of capitalism by the working class is necessary; so that makes me a revolutionary.

Capitalism is terrible and I believe in smashing capitalism what I mean is I believe in putting in reforms so that capitalism is no more we reform it by destroying capitalism and putting in socialism

The line between revolutionary/reformist is drawn in the sphere of theory. To this end, I hope we are all revolutionaries.
But I suppose you are talking of Lenin's conception (his unfortunate, rather bourgeois conception!) of the 'professional revolutionary'. To this group I am not an addition. I presume most of us are not. In all fairness, if you're born into a non-working class family you're unlikely to go into this 'professional revolutionary' group unless you join a Leninist party, something i'll never do. I have neither the ability nor desire to be a professional revolutionary. As for being a lifestyle anarchist, again, neither ability nor desire. But I don't let the fact that I own a £250 jacket and go to university hold me back from my beliefs, nor taint my ideals. Fuck that shit.
I like my jacket, too.

Misocratist did you just neg rep me for posting that video? WTF? It's a joke. Implying that people on Revleft are all upper class privileged WASPs who sit around talking about anachronistic trivial socialists who nobody else has ever heard of.

We can't all just grab guns and start shooting up shit and overtaking the Capitol cities. The conditions aren't right for revolution; not many people, as of now, are going to topple the government. Currently I'm spreading around pamphlets, acquainting individuals with Libertarian Socialism, and critiquing Capitalist society and economics through debate with the working people of my community.

Are we supposed to be "revolutionaries"? I mean, I think it would be pretty cool if we could upload our brains to a computer, but that doesn't mean I go around claiming to be a cyborg.

Oh my Lenin! Did I have it all wrong! Whew, what a relief to have stumbled on this little nugget of clarity. And I was going thru such misery, such torment. And now its clear, right in front of us the entire time. The much acclaimed, though often ignored, Sam Webb Doctrine. Kinda like its theoretical cousin the Gerald Ford Doctrine, both share the tactic of boring their opponents to death. As Webbites we will undertake this path of attrition-thru-ballot as is laid out before by he who has refined it, Comrade1988. Webbism-88ism is the vanguard of the new defeatist/reformist bloc. OK now its clear I just have to vote every 4 years. OK.:thumbup1:

But in all seriousness, communism isn't a lifestyle. The whole question... doesn't make sense. Nobody here is a reformist or else they'd get restricted.

"The war with Brittain was the least part of the actual Revolution." ~John Adams
(Bourgeois I know, but the point stands. The actual militant resistance is the least part of the revolution, and idk why everybody wants to glorify it. The real revolution happens in people's relations to each other and the productive forces.)
MarxSchmarx

Revolution is not about the speed of struggle, it is about the nature of change - it comes from the word "revolve" which means to switch the order of things. It matters not that this is done in a fortnight or a century. What matters is that capitalism is broken - thoroughly.
Who here wouldn't want that new day to come sooner? Yes, yes. But let me ask you: what cracks a boulder: the slowly growing roots of a mighty forest tree or a weedy vine that expands rapidly? The latter certainly grows at an impressive rate - it might even cover the rock in green, creating the fleeting impression of triumph. But it is the roots of a tree that crack the crevices of a rock and ultimately render it to dust.
If your goal was to fracture capitalism, a powerful social force, I would take the insidious prying caused by a tree setting root over the flashy surface growth of a measly vine any day. Capitalism must be struggled against on a thousand fronts - none of which may seem particularly victorious, all of which, at any given moment of time, only marginally advance our cause. But applied consistently enough for long enough, this is how tree roots manage to grow in impenetrable shale.
As revolution starts with u says:
The actual militant resistance is the least part of the revolution, and idk why everybody wants to glorify it. The real revolution happens in people's relations to each other and the productive forces.)
Lenin has my face tattooed over his face. That's exactly how revolutionary I am.
