I didn't even bother taking it. Thank goodness for community college or I never would have figured out that I actually rather like this school thing.

I think mine was 1760.

I don't even remember, so it must have been quite average. But I guess that also goes to show how much it really matters. I got my first choice college anyways, but it isn't a hard school to get into.

I'm just curious. I know the score really says nothing about the person.

I don't remember either. I also don't think it doesn't matter - it don't never unmatter none! SAT's are to education what camel humps are to tires.

Ok seriously, if you are planning on going to college and don't have a fortune or big trust-fund or something, then this bullshit number matters.

Depends on where you go. I'll be heading to a fairly good school later this year, and I didn't even submit scores. More and more colleges are making tests like the SATs optional and instead placing greater emphasis on GPA and the like (something I also don't have, being self-educated).

Mine was like 2000 or something, but the only piece of that I gave a shit about was the perfect 800 I got on critical reading (without even bothering to read most of the passages) :D

2130 *dives behind bulletproof glass* :thumbup1:
Didn't study. I am the 3%.
Perfect 800 on the writing part.
.... I feel less inadequate and more confident that I will be able to do what I want to do.
Might retake it so I can do better in the math section b/c a bad test proctor fucked over the whole classroom on a certain section.
But people around me need to shut up about this so it won't go to my head.

Shit, how did you get an 800 on the writing section?? I got perfect on the questions, but then I got a 6/12 on the essay for some reason, even though the essays I write in class tend to get A grades...

But that happened to me on my state tests too. I got Advanced on every section except writing, where I only got Proficient. And most people tell me I'm a good writer.

So fuck standardized tests.

I'm in AP Lang, we wrote a lot of practice essays for the AP Exam that were similar to the essays for the SAT so I had practice.

I took AP Lit my junior year (my school didn't offer AP Lang), so I tried to incorporate some of the literary techniques we learned into my essays in standardized tests, but I have the sneaking suspicion that the graders confused my rhetorical use of repetition with not being able to think of anything else to say.

I just took AP Language & Comp. The essay on rhetorical devices killed me.

Those used to be the bane of my existence until our teacher gave us a shit-ton of practice with the rhetoric essay and I somehow found out how to do it, and I did it well.
My AP Lang teacher is really good.

Mine was 1400. I did very well in the reading, but I didn't do very well in the math because I forgot how to do a lot of things.
