So, I was sent an article by another Anarchist friend of mine by Terry Anderson and P. J. Hill titled An American Experiment in Anarcho-Capitalism: The Not So Wild, Wild West (emphasis is theirs, not mine) and despite it's usual Misesian bullshitery it made me curious. Was there ever an attempt at Anarchy (as we know it) in the American Old West? I know that a conscious or ideological attempt is probably out of the question but I'm mainly talking in terms of worker's banding together, communal societies, worker's seizing mining or prospecting plots or factories or anything of the sort?

The Western Federation of Miners which had roots with Anarchism said "complete revolution of social and economic conditions the only salvation of the working classes." Albeit they did not form communal societies.

Interesting, I'm surprised that I didn't find this out sooner, to be honest, thanks comrade.
