I had a debate today, I don't know how it went, I got the guy to acknowledge he had no rebuttal. Anyways, here's how it went. It mostly revolved around the topic of defense, and luxury vacations.
"If the United States had a revolution, the opposing nations would invade us, and kill us"
I responded : If the epicenter of Capitalism had a revolt, most likely the world would follow suit; in addition, I also believe we'd possibly be the last to revolt, Europe, in my opinion, would lead the way. I should also note, if we did independently revolt, we'd possibly try to lead world revolution through the western world, China, and Russia.
"Well, what about the Muslims, they want to kill us?"
- Well, we'd have to view the circumstances. First of all, we wouldn't be present in the Muslim world. Although we would inspire the working classes there to liberate, and we'd be on the side of the people as a whole instead of the bourgeoisie, Kings, Princes, and oil tycoons.
"But it's in the Qur'an to kill the infidels!"
- Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives. As you see, the bible too advocates murder, but do you, as a christian perform such acts? The Qur'an the may indeed advocate murder of infidels, but like you don't kill homosexuals, and atheists, a majority of Muslims intend to murder infidels.
"What happens if I work my ass off, do I get more money?"
- It's common knowledge that if you exert more physical strength you'll need more to consume to replenish your labor power. Money, no, but necessities, yes.
"What if I want to go on a boat trip?"
- Have your commune organize a boat trip, after all, your work quota will be far less than now. You'll have plenty of time for leisure, and aquatic activities if you wish.
"If we stop using money like you said earlier, how will the businesses run?"
- They wont, instead production will return to its necessary and natural purpose, to provide the needs of humanity. What happens if your business is no longer profitable? (He's a fuel driver), peoples' cars will go without its source of energy, they lose their ability to travel back and forth to work, you lose your job. Under Communism, the need for fuel will still be present, and it will serve its purpose, to fuel vehicles, to transport materials, to keep the nation together. But as you depend on capital, if the company fails, production ceases.
