So, I just recently heard about this from a friend who told me to look it up but apparently, in the old Eastern bloc states people whom are addicted to opiates are now shooting up this strange concoction which is similar to meth in it's clandestine production of which immediately kills the flesh and tissue and so on. I'm at a loss for words, wtf, wtf, wtf.

I knew there was a wide spread heroin problem but God damn, this is insane, just fucking do heroin.

They can't do heroin because it's too expensive, and the ingredients for Krokodil are relatively easy to get and put together. If you watch the entire VICE story on it, the reporter is shown how easy it is to grab the necessary pills and whatever for production from a 24/7 pharmacy.

Anyway, it's some pretty fucked up shit all around. Heard about it a while back, when it became big news.

I know but still, I just follow the same mentality as one of the addicts they interviewed whom said, he would never do krokodil because it's too horrific, only heroin. I just think it's ridiculous that the only treatment possibilities some have in the city are either cults, Orthodox types or the few little private clinics that exist.

Stories like these make me glad I've primarily just stuck with booze.

That shit sounds more destructive than crack.

Unlike crack though (which contains it's own contaminants) krokodil causes immediate flesh and tissue decay, rot and death. With crack the most you'd have to worry about is things like over-dose, heart attacks and cumulative effects of the drug over a period of time of constant use as opposed to something immediate like this.

So, basically, not only would users have to worry about the usual problems with drug abuse but also the horrific effects that come with this shit.

Just google, "effects of krokodil" and you'll see how horrible and destructive that shit can be on someone. If I had to choose between either krokodil or meth, I'd go with meth in a heartbeat
