Muslim extremes is obviously not a threat to the USA. USA uses these extremists for their own purposes, right?
All potential terr-acts in US are always undercover agents who coerce very unintelligent people.
The 'war on terror' is just to assert American capitalism's interests in the world.
So what was the point of torturing those guys? What kind of information were they looking for?

It's not information they seek but confessions to whatever serves the narrative on "the war on terror" and justify a trillion dollar budget.

A lot of the more bungled ridiculous plots really are just unintelligent or gullible people who would never have actually committed a terrorist act had not some undercover convinced them to do it (most likely as a result of realizing that they may have held some extremist positions.)
Never-the-less groups like al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, Abu Sayyaf, the Taliban and others stretching across north africa, the mideast, and central/southeast asia do exist, and pose headaches for certain segments of capital. They're not anti-capitalist groups because they just want a different variety of capitalism, but there is no doubt that they pose a direct threat to America's (and thus, a particularly powerful segment of capital) interests. Thus some rather stringent military interrogations done while prosecuting the fight against such groups seems not entirely unimaginable.

Yep the same method that the Inquisition used during the witch hunts. Wait a minute...I just made another realization that it shows a another example of how Christianity is deeply rooted in US society...
It's simply the bourgeoisie protecting their interests by locking up and torturing all who are a significant threat to their power.

Because the U.S. are hypocrytes. They claim to be so advenced yet they still clind to barbaric toture. I think they use both Mental and Physical toture. Mentally mostly but it still does the same amount of damage
