You guys use twitter?

I just discovered it. It's great, I follow lots of news and people I deem important.

I don't write anything though, that part seems stupid.

Just a great way to read the news.

It's generally a terrible place for discussion (though some talented folk, like Boots Riley, make it work). But it's definitely good for keeping up to date. I also like the new live blogs that some news sites use.

I remember back during the Egypt thing, some dude was on his phone liveblogging on twitter as the people raided the HQ of Mubarak's State Security, finding documents and secret entrances to dungeons and shit

No. I had one, mainly to see what was so special about it, turned out nothing is special about it, it's just a tool for stalking celebrities.

Too few characters to convey anything of any importance. I use it though. It's the best way to get information from musicians for upcoming projects and updates.

I've resisted Twitter ever since it became annoyingly popular in 2008 or so. But I'm considering getting an account now.

It's worth using just as a newsfeed. I rarely post anything.
