not only pro-hollande, but pro-obama... essentially saying that both leaders represent a rejection of austerity and that cameron and clegg are the only world leaders pressing ahead with it or something.

What is this student paper? Some socialist society newsletter type thing? I remember when I was at uni they were all laughably bad so I'd hardly be surprised...

Quite unlike the socialist society papers, then. I'll give you a blueprint for every single fucking article in every single fucking issue of every single fucking paper:
"This event happened in this country, this is bad, this happened because of capitalism, this proves it's time for the workers to rise up and create socialism!"
Okay they tend to write a teeny weeny little bit more, but that's because they waste words and I'm succinct me...
Perhaps one should enter into this kind of paper for a bit of détournement and subtle internal sabotage etc. Make it happen, braaaaah!

I really wish you were wrong, but this is too true..

If I have to read "Socialist revolution is the only solution!" one more fucking time I might murder someone.

Well if you do, make sure it's either a president or something, for a bit of propaganda of the deed shit, or the editor of 'Militant Student' in the hope it might shut them up. No point wasting a good murder on some randomer when you could instead decapitate the twin evils of the state and university socialist rags, is there?

before my friend linked me to the article (i'm away to revise so don't have access to the print copy), i was going to make a thread about how much i hate the leader of the campus trotskyists.
now i've only spoken to him once, when i tried to subtly insult his politics and he responded - gormlessly - by trying to pressurise me into giving him/them my email address. maybe that's the only response i deserved. but he's one of those people without any charisma or spark who find themselves in a position of authority and thinks they're the fucking don all of a sudden. every-bloody-day, almost all day, pounding outside the students union like he owns the place.
