I used to be a right-libertarian( I was blind to how the capitalism, was economic authoritarianism). Although, I always admired revolutions led by the lower classes. I believe that there should be a world that is anarcho-communistic, with people having the option of doing extra labour in the service of a socialist state, and in return receiving a pension/healthcare, and other services or goods a socialist state may provide. to me the key to such a world is locally led communes cooperating with other communes to provide the necessities of all.

Welcome to the forums, comrade. Nice to see you've left right-libertarianism and also to see another anarcho-communist. However, feel I should point out that anarchism is an ideology which opposes hierarchies such as the state.

Hello Campesino,

Was there any websites, books, thinkers, or documentaries that inspired you to change your ideology?

Welcome.

How can you be an anarcho-communist and yet advocate the existence of a "socialist state" (which, by the way, is a contradiction)?

what caused me to leave right-libertarianism, was pretty much working in a factory, I was a right-libertarian during high-school, then I started working. I saw the unfairness of the system and how people didn't have a chance to become rich, the capitalist weren't even able to provide equal opportunity(and they never will). I also realized right-libertarianism and for that matter capitalism is an idealistic philosophy. What really convinced me about communism, is Paul Cockshott and David Zachariah's Argument For Socialism. DNZ linked to it and I downloaded and read it, and it made sense.

When I say socialist state I mean, and apparatus for people to gather and collectively manage their labor and products for a cause that is bigger than a commune, for instance %30 of the worlds workers want to colonize space and another %30 percent want to colonize the sea floor. The two groups setup a supra-communal state/organization and the members of the group invest their labor into the cause. The same can be done, with workers who want a pension or want to fund the arts. Participating in state totally depends on the workers themselves. maybe state is a bad word, since it implies people have no option except being in it.

my reasons for being communist are simple.
We are all human, we all have the right to the means of production, and to do with our labor as we wish, we all own our labor and it's products, emancipation from money/capital will get rid of material greed.

Hey, welcome comrade.
Take your time learning, glad you left right-wing "libertarianism" though.

Welcome. As mentioned above, anarchists (including anarcho-communists) don't believe in the necessity of a state - which is what socialists/communists believe. I know you're new to learning this. I suggest browsing around and learning different viewpoints and theories, see what best suits you. Remain open.

Works of historically/theoretically significant anarcho-communists:

Just call yourself a libertarian (leftist, ie real libertarian). That way you can be an anarchist who doesn't mind the state if its used correctly. It's a much less idealist position to take (states are bad cuz they're states is idealism).

Welcome friend :D
