WARNING : This article is Google Translated so it might be crappy to read.

THE CRIMINALS OF GOLDEN DAWN

1. Nikos Michaloliakos, Secretary, Municipal Councillor Municipality of Athens, Head ballot:
Arrested in 1976 for beating journalists in incidents at the funeral of the junta torturer E. Mallios. He was detained for a few months in Korydallos but never tried because "formal barriers" ... In July 1978 he was arrested again and sentenced to imprisonment for one year participation in extremist right-wing organization, possession of weapons, explosives and bombs in central cinemas advanced progressive films (Elli and Rex).

Stated and "proud" Nazi-Junta-Semitic, racist mentor worthy student of Greek fascism K. side of the age of August 4 Junta organization.

Recently revealed that he, his wife and brother are owners of the hotel-brothel New Dream Street Square Liosion in Attica.

An area that is supposedly the Chrysafgites the "cleaned". What's the answer that so? We just rented out to Northern Epirus and the employee was not Greek but alien to Canadian citizenship. Later a corrected statement and left the Canadian citizenship to become that he is Greek. In other words, what was in his hotel was and how legitimate it is the last thing he works - the question is whether those who work there are "Greeks".

2. Kasidiaris Elias, spokesman and deputy candidate in Attica:
Trial on 14 May (ie 8 days after the election) with the types of assistance to robbery, wanton dangerous bodily harm, unlawful carrying and use of weapons. It participated and helped 5 neo-Nazi who attacked with batons and knife Professor, University of Athens Zografou Campus, and then fled by car Kasidiari.

3. Themis Skordeli, parliamentary candidate for Athens:
Accused along with 2 others seriously injured in Afghan immigrant with a knife last September (2011). The victim's identification and sued. The trial has been postponed 3 times with responsibility Skordeli and friends. On one of them is to save Skordeli cited serious psychological problems, but one day after she was present at the trial of the frogman OYK marching in last year shouting racist slogans.

</span>4. Chris Rigas, former MP candidate, candidate prefect Western Greece in October 2010, a member of the Central Committee of the Golden Dawn:

From Wednesday 20/4 is imprisoned for killing 2 people in Halandri on February 26, 2009 - the astrologer Miltiadis Moutafis and Registrar of Gkezou Friday.

This "strain" was accused of extortion in the past for owners of night clubs, involvement in an assassination attempt, manufacturing high-powered bomb near Xenia Parnitha Coke. </span>Detail: It was also the owner of the coffee bar opposite GATES A. Panteleimon and played a leading part in it and "cleaning the area of crime" ...

5. Anthony (Periander) Androutsopoulos, number 2 of the organization the 90:
Convicted of the attack the group Chrysafgiton June 98 at the expense of students and vice H. D. Fotiadis and C. Karampatsoli adioristou education outside the courts of Cadets. </span>Escaped for several years abroad and was delivered in September 2005 to the authorities. On 25/9/2006 convicted of attempted murder 3, at 21 years imprisonment without suspension. In the Court of Appeal on 12/3/2009 sentence was reduced to 12 years after the indictment was changed.

For the first time the Supreme Court accepts that a group of 10 members of the Golden Dawn

"Having decided to commit the crime of intentional homicide, attempted act containing at least the beginning of this operation, that having decided to kill Dimitrios defect, a student assaulted ... against him by surprise with wooden bats that kept both he and other accomplices </span>and thereby also succeeded in frightening brutality and savagery multiple blows to the head and especially around the body .. They failed but did not complete the final purpose of homicidal causes outside its control and without them "
(Decision 1167/2010 of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court)

6. Kousoumvris Harris, a former financial officer of the organization. Sentenced for robbery in Kalamata in 2002 and imprisoned in the jail Nafplio. Later in 2004 he wrote a book entitled "Demolishing the myth of the Golden Dawn" which reveals the myriad things for Michaloliakos and the Golden Dawn and their relationships with BPH and the Southwest.

You could write for hours and other "officials" similar ethos. The police Andraskela, P. Roumeliotis (known as Porky) who stabbed young Monastiraki, H. Panagiotarea MP candidate who had made the Blue Army as a link fans of the Greek National Team with many attacks against immigrants who made the mistake of celebrating together </span>Greeks to win the EURO 2004. We could also write a lot of memory for ALISTON Chrysafgiton joint actions with both the MAT February 2008 in pl. Kolokotronis and in May 2009 in the old Court of Appeal against protesters and anti-racists defenseless refugees.

Anti-racist legislation?

Reading all that anyone would rightly wonder how can all these can be candidates practically means that MPs immunity and possible cancellation of their offenses. </span>How can the Supreme Court to recognize as a legitimate political party organization in a recent decision of the group describes as murderers.

The meager and totally unworkable anti-racist legislation in Greece indicates for example:

"1. Whoever publicly, either orally or through the press or in written texts or illustrations, or any other means intentionally urges to acts or actions which could lead to discrimination, hatred or violence of against persons or group of persons solely because of racial or ethnic origin of punished </span>fylakisin up to two years or chrimatikin poinin or self-punishment both of them.

2. Life of the above penalty shall be imposed or whoever is involved in organizations seeking organomenin century calamity propaganda or activities of any form tends to racial discrimination.

</span>(Articles 1 & 2 of n.927/1979)

These articles according to the newest Law 2910/2001 (Article 39-par.4) "prosecuted ex officio", ie through direct intervention prosecutor whether victims or afraid and do not make a complaint.

</span>"Whoever with intent, public either orally or through the press, via the internet or any other means or manner, encourages, causes or triggers to violence or hatred against a group of persons or person, identified on the basis of race, color, </span>religion, descent, national or ethnic origin or sexual orientation in a manner that may endanger public order or poses a threat to life, liberty or physical integrity of those persons shall be punished with imprisonment of at least </span>6 months to three years and fine of three thousand (3,000) to ten thousand (10,000) euros.

"Whoever is involved in, or association of any kind that systematically seeks to commit acts of paragraphs 1 and 2 is punishable by imprisonment up to two (2) years if the act is not punishable under any other provision heavier."

</span>(Excerpt from article 2 of the draft law of the Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice in the meetings on 13 and December 21, 2011.)

They are based mostly on the immigration problem of Greece. We have a very big percentage of mostly Pakistanis and Arabs migrants and refugees, and unfortunatly the Left cannot do much about it. You cant ask to send them back, you cant make them fit to the society, you cant ask for closing the borders and Greece has signed the Dublin II pact. So its something that they can play ball all by themselves... unfortunatly.

We have the same problem here in the UK, with hate groups like the BNP, fascist scumbags, blaming unemployment on immigrants, turning worker against worker. We are lucky at the present time, that support for the BNP declined in the local elections last week. But the nazi scum will keep on trying their vile tactics, and spreading their hate as far as they can.

I wish you and your comrades well, in countering the propaganda of the nazis, and building for solidarity and revolution, among the immigrant Greek workers, and the indigeneous Greek workers.

Our own BNP, LAOS, failed to get in the parliament. So GD is the new expression of the far right in Greece.

We ll do our best! Our lives depends on this.

The reason why they got in is because of that shitty fucking "proportional representation" Helps little fascist parties get into power, because they will always get a few votes. And those few votes entitles them to a seat in a legislature...

In this post, you start with the assumption that there is such a thing as an "immigrant problem". I'm not sure if you believe that, or if you're just describing how many people see it in Greece, but I will point out that is a false threat.

People who vote for these fascists have real problems. If you read the coverage, GD has been distributing food baskets to "real Greeks", and offering local communities support. People are desperate.

But the immigrants did not cause them to lose their jobs, and they certainly didn't cause the recent 30%-or-so drop in living standards. That is clear for all to see. Sure, there is outsourcing. Sure, immigrant workers coming to Greece work for wages no Greek would work for, or could. But in both of these charges, there is an important third party at work: capitalist corporations both hiring the cheaper laborers and outsourcing production, in a bitter class war against the workers of the world.

The problems associated with immigrant workers (crime, unemployment, welfare abuse) are caused by capitalists, and they are in turn enabled in their malpractice by politicians, who privatized and deregulated like their lives depended on it (which it perhaps should, but inverse).

Exterminating unemployment, solid worker protections, and raising wages are three things that are quite achievable within the current political system (although already radical), and it would dissolve support for fascists over time. Though it may well already be too late.

It does give them seats, but that neither means they are entitled to a platform, nor that they can go ahead and implement any of their policies.

The decent thing to say is: Fuck 'em :)

I might be mistaken, but I think it was proportional representation that secured Nick Griffin's BNP seat in the European Parliament. And the nazis in the UK are holding out for that here too, so that they can get their scumbag arses into the UK Parliament.

"Exterminating unemployment, solid worker protections, and raising wages are three things that are quite achievable within the current political system"

Erratum to my previous post: I said it's achievable in the current political climate to get three reforms in. That's not quite true. What I meant to say is that it is at least theoretically possible, because it has been done in the past, in social democratic arenas. But I am kidding myself, here. It's hopeless optimism about a dysfunctional system.

The point about the "immigrant problem" stands as it was, though. It is not a problem with the immigrants, but with the political system being in bed with the capitalist corporates.

The reason people voted them is because they thought Golden Dawn would get rid of the immigrants. Golden Dawn will get rid of them by killing them because that's what they should do to keep their antihuman and fascist ideology.

Yep. And in another thread relating to Golden Dawn, I see they propose a policy of placing crimes committed by immigrants, in a 'special category'. This will see immigrant convicts put in 'special detention centres', where they will be 'put to work'. Chilling.

Worse yet, they are put to work so they can repay their debt to the society they wrecked. Carbon copied!

I really can't understand how everyone but the radical-left is almost silent about it,they are named: "Ultra-nationalists" or "conservatives" - they should be completely exposed for what they are - a Nazi party which is absolutely open about its Nazism. I still can't understand how so much voters supported them, they have some right-wing policies common for the right-wing,but how can their open Nazism be ignored like that?

I hope the Greeks on this forum dont get me wrong here but...

I find it ironic that in germany, the Nazis are killing the greek immigrants, while in greece, the Nazis themselves want to kill immigrants.

It would be a hilarious coincidence to see a greek nazi beat up by german fash when they are looking for work after the crisis...

The not-so irresistible rise of Nazism in Greece (but where the hell are we, the anarchists?)
The future historian will easily draw a line at the end of the Greek Metapolitefsi (the post-dictatorial regime) somewhere between May5th, 2010 and yesterday — the date of the first elections in this new era. Nothing resembles what we used to live a few years ago. As anarchists, anti-authoritarians, people opposed to any form of representation, the electoral process does not concern us. And yet, it is crucial in tracing societal changes — and what is happening in Greece at the moment is immense. For the first time since the Nazi occupation, an openly Nazi party has officially entered the echelons of political power. While the Left celebrates a “victory” it will be unable to capitalise on in any tangible way, few seem to be reading through this temporary, murky shift-around of the mainstream political balance of power.
Society in the greek territory is polarising rapidly. The one pole, the pole of the far-right, the misanthropic facade of the current system of capitalist exploitation, is forming quickly. The crucial task ahead is for our pole to form faster even; for us to understand that the times (not so far) ahead will involve a fight to shift society as a whole in an emancipatory direction. A struggle to keep our cities, our streets, our spaces clean from misanthropic nazi scum. But also, and most importantly, a struggle and a race to occupy the space left behind by a crumbling, retreating system of order; we’d better get going.

In BBC articles I have seen them being described as 'ultra-nationalist', 'far-right', 'neo-nazi' and 'fascist' at various different points. Saying only the far left has been worried about this is a total fallacy.

I guess one of the reasons for their success is the fact that GD are able to depict themselves as against the establishment but unlike other anti-establishment forces in Greek politics they do not offer the same left wing explanations for Greece's problems. So people who have lost confidence in the Greek political establishment, but also reject left wing ideas look at the GD as a way of expressing their view point as well as sending a 'fuck you' to everyone else.

This anti-immigrant crap is disgusting. Workers of the world unite!

The immigrants get to vote, and they voted for Syriza. Anybody wondering why they didn't vote KKE has just to read DC's posting.

And anybody wondering how the Golden Dawn can come up so fast, well, one of the reasons is so called "leftists" spreading anti-immigrant filth.

How about organizing the undocumented immigrants and integrating them into the center of the parties cadre while going to white working class communities and stepping up a strong anti-racist anti-xenophobic propaganda campaign.
