There is a huge problem on this website, particularly with the libertarians. This huge problem is the illogical support for some potentially dangerous forms of sexual deviancy. Most of us know about TAT and his support for pedophilia years before I came to this site. I must say, these kinds of attitudes are disgusting in my opinion. Some of these libertarians don't think about the consequences someone's absolute free might have on another person. They hide behind bullshit calls for consensual sexual deviancy. Well, let us consider this support for so-called consensual sexual deviancy. The only two forms of sexual deviancy that I see a problem with on RevLeft are pedophilia (if I am lucky, the pedophilia I see is ephebophilia, or an adult love for mid-aged to older teenagers) and a support for consensual incest. Lets start with consensual pedophilia, or ephebophilia, which ever one some of you fancy (gross). Well, first of all, most of us know that children, pre-teens, and young teenagers should not be put in a position to give consent to sexual activity with older people. That is what most of us acknowledge as truth (well, I hope most of us acknowledge that as truth). All young people, whether children or teenagers, do not have fully matured brains. Just as most young people can be pressured into having sexual relationships with other youths, the same thing can occur when an adult is doing the pressuring. What appears to everybody else to be a consensual relationship can easily be a relationship that was unfairly influenced or secretly coerced. I am not saying these things have the potential to happen all the time if pedophilia is made legal, but it will definitely happen sometimes, if not a majority of the time. Obviously, with older teens, things are different, particularly if they are having sex with someone that is not that many years older than them. Basically, any type of pedophilia (save SOME forms of ephebophilia, if you even call twenty-two year olds having sex with 16 year olds that) is just downright dangerous.
My problem with incest is explained by these posts I made on the now closed Incest thread:
ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NO. If we look at it from a materialist viewpoint, putting aside all moralist arguments and the fact that it is just gross as fucking shit, it would still be best to make it illegal. You cannot restrict incest to only "consensual" incest, because what will happen is that not only will family members force other family members into sexual relationships and then say it was consensual to law enforcement, incest in general will be encouraged. Allowing a brother and sister to marry each other (which is sooo fucking gross) might encourage a mentally ill father to have sexual relations with his underage daughter. We can never tell how the minds of people work. As a result, first-generation inbred individuals are more likely to show physical and health defects, including:
Reduced fertility both in litter size and sperm viability
Increased genetic disorders
Fluctuating facial asymmetry
Lower birth rate

Loss of immune system function
Just because a brother and sister want to fuck does not mean that the many generations after them should have to suffer for it. And, yes, even a union of that kind should be illegal. What usually happens when you have a partner? You have sex with them. Is the government going to force them to use contraception all the time in order to prevent interbreeding?
And, to the people who say, "Well, people already do it, so making it legal would just increase freedom and not really change how many people are doing it," I say this: "I bet there are also a lot of people who would love to experiment with incest once it becomes legal who have not had the urge or the guts to do it beforehand."
I don't find that humorous if you are trying to be funny, and I don't think you are a real Marxist if you are being serious. That is not Marxism and, most importantly, that is not a joke. Consensual incest creates diseased offspring and non-consensual incest creates shattered individuals and destroyed lives. It is not funny at all.
Interbreeding and secret coercion are the two main issues. My problem with legalizing would be that that could be an encouragement to both pedophiles and people who commit incest.
I am willing to hear libertarian arguments, but please dont tell me Ohhhhh, but homosexuality was once considered sexual deviancy!!! Thats a completely different problem. Homosexuality doesnt have such a high chance of coercion and in no way hurts any offspring. So, pick another argument.
The idea for coming up with this thread came to me when I was talking to a comrade who was equally disgusted by the RevLeft libertarians support for potentially dangerous sexual deviancy. He said to post a thread like this and see how long it takes for it to be closed by one of the libertarian mods or admins that are oh so authoritarian when someone goes against their holy beliefs.
I am giving my opinion this is a discussion forum everything should be ok, but I will probably get censored by the people who hate censorship so much all in the name of not causing a shitstorm. Well, try controlling the conversation instead of censoring.
