Need some advice on amnesty international

I live in India where cops are corrupt monsters. Fighting against them as an individual would be suicide, but fighting as part of a respectable org like amnesty international would be better, I suppose. I don't want negative comments on amnesty international, thats another matter, so please don't digress.

I only wish to know whether this would be a practical idea - to be part of something bigger and then fight these cop scum (instead of starting something new).

Thanks. The reason I said in my op not to slam aI, is because the whole thread will then move in that direction, and nobody will answer the real question on activism. But I will also look into the link you gave.
