More teacher-bashing from capital:

MP's are planning to introduce performance-related pay for teachers, and pay the weaker ones less. Teaching unions have warned it's merely an attempt to dismantle teachers pay and working conditions.

The NUT has warned it will cause rifts in the classroom, and put teachers under pressure. It's also likely to see more teachers become ill due to the stress, and even quit the profession:

And one asshole MP has even called for some teachers to be sacked:

Payment by results - as if a student's performance was only a matter of will and responsibility.

I know teachers who have had nervous breakdowns, the last time this sort of crap was on the table. League tables, and school inspections etc, to identify 'failing schools'. Some just quit and jumped ship cos they had enough.

Education is valuable in and of itself, and not all kids are gonna achieve good grades.

The education system under capital is fucked anyway. It's the bosses system, designed to turn out conditioned drones, who will take their place in a regimented workforce.

It puts teachers through hell, and doesn't do the best by the kids either.
