What is your favourite element of the periodic table?

Mine is Selenium (Se), I also like Potassium (K)

Cool elments both.

I sort of feel dirty liking Polonium (Po, atomic number 84), but I can't help it.

But in the end probably Caesium (Cs, atomic number 55).

I like Mg (Mercury) the most it's just so fun to play with, a metalic liquid? yes please! :)

also Na (Sodium) I love the reaction with water it's just fun to fuck around with :) fell in love with it since my teacher's science demos a year or two ago

K (Potassium) aswell for it's reaction with water

Hydrogen. I've loved that stuff since me and my chemistry partner managed to concentrate it more than the teacher had asked, and get a very loud pop out of a lit beaker which made the rest of the class shit themselves.

I also like Arsenic simply because it contains the word Arse.

That's so weird I had a brief thought yesterday to start a thread on this exact subject.

Potassium all the way and this is why

My favourite element is sodium. It reminds me of my old party, Socialist Alternative (or SAlt).

2 Carbon, 6 Hydrogen, and an Oxygen

*Turns nerd mode on* The term 'alcohol' actually refers to a series of chemicals. The molecule described here is called 'ethanol'. It is probably the most commonly used alcohol, but it is not the only one. Alcohols can have more than two carbons. Propanol is also an example of an alcohol.

*Turns nerd mode off* Somehow I find explaining things to people on the internet way more fulfiling than actually doing my chemistry homework (which is what I should be doing now). I guess this counts as evidence in favour of the idea that working for the benefit of the other is more enjoyable than working because some teacher told you to. Now I had better get back to my studying.
