Comrades, I have to present a project tomorrow, and I'm doing mine on whether or not FDR allowed the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor to happen. I need some online sources to research the whole thing and come to a conclusion. All I want are good sources with good information, not anything that swings a certain way (I honestly lean towards believing that FDR didn't let the attack happen but I'm open-minded).
Anybody able to pitch in?

Read the opening pages of Stephen Budiansky's, Battle of Wits: the Complete story of ccodebreaking in World War II. And I can't recall whether he discusses it or not, but Christopher Andrew's, For the President's Eyes Only, would also likely be a good starting point. Andrew and Budiansky are intelligence historians, and a large chunk of the conspiracy theory revolves around the belief that FDR deliberately withheld vital intelligence, derived from Ultra-Magic decrypts (that warned of an impending attack) from military Commanders at Pearl Harbour.
A bit late for your presentation, but this is a serious analysis which could give you various leads

I think this is a case of Hanlon's Razor, never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
The US military bureaucracy of the time was horribly racist to the point where the military didn't believe the Japanese as a race were not capable of ever being a threat to whites. The Japanese Navy was able to do was sneak across Pacific in complete radio silence and launched the largest carrier based air strike at the time, in a time where aircraft were seen as toys by the major navies.
