I'm not sure where you're going at with the "comment on all videos" part...

1st of May is a national holiday here, so no school today. Me and the girlfriend made pancakes for breakfast, then we went to the demonstration, although it's officially organised by the bourgeois labour unions. We went under the banners of the Norwegian Palestine Committee.

In capitalist America, right wingers protest against you on May Day. You should see New York City.....

Evil Obama socialists setting up a general strike to help the terrorists bring Osama bin Laden back to life!!!!!

I passed someone during the demonstration who said "jesus lives!", then, a few hundred metres further, I passed a man who was pissed off by our slogans and banners, saying something about someone's only correct place is "the gaschambers". Not sure if he meant us, the woman he was yelling to or the Palestinians.

I have no choice. I'm still a teenager, the nearest city to me (Philadelphia) is 20 minutes away, and my parents are both at work so no one can drive me to a demonstration/march.

I stayed home today and did some odd jobs in the barn. Tonight I'll go see a movie with some people though, which I don't usually do on a weekday. :)

Happy Labour Day to all! Apologies to the American comrades who had to go to work today.

A friend of mine in San Fran reported seeing the police panicking and holing up on Golden Gate. I can't find much coverage about it but she said there were hoards of them.

Rofl rofl I hate my home country.

:blackA:
why did they arrest you?

Bag full of spraypaint, stencils, paint on our hands, etc... Was walking with my friends, the cops drove by and saw us and at that moment we should of turned around. They must have radioed in 3 suspicious looking people with backpacks because from that moment on we got followed by an undercover on foot. Our one buddy split off and were heading to another area of town, they followed us under a bridge and I did a stencil underneath it and as we were walking out we got arrested by like 5 cops.

They are fucking idiots because had they not stopped us after our first tag, they could have followed us around for a few hours and the evening would have climaxed with taking down a billboard. Also why the fuck would they pull out a huge stealth operation for 3 19 year olds spray painting?

Edit: I was eventually released, but now I have to wait around all day to see if they are going to come get me and press charges today. They said that if a bunch of more reports came in for vandalism then we would be charged. I had made a stencil which said "organize" with the a being an :blackA:, and when I was handcuffed they were like: "are you from the organized group? what political organization are you supporting/apart of?"

Stalin would be proud.

Er, kinda doubt that.

More like a one way ticket to the Gulag if somebody tried that in Moscow on Mayday when Stalin was in charge.

May Day in Oakland was pretty tight. Somehow I kept ending up in the front facing off with the police holding the shields, lol. Basically ran around with the black bloc the whole day.

When the second march, from Fruitvale came, these motherfuckers were yelling at us for wearing masks. Totally killing the mood. Then the same assholes had the nerve to put on fucking V for Vendetta masks. Freakin' hypocrites. Almost got caught up but it's cool.

LA was good and sad. Egos split the march. Same route, same street different times. Other than that just a few arrest and one hippie occupy guy getting pushed around by a PSL guy. No idea why. And of course the RCP just workin those Avakian shirts. I like having them around. Avakian can stay in France. No one is looking for him any way. Besides the RCP make me feel good about myself!

I went to see the "social democratic" prime minister's speech. She talked about solidarity between rich and poor and how "all of us" are going to pay for the crisis through reduced security and service.

The social democrats have never really been able to be socialists. Now it seems that they are not even able to be social democrats. It's fucking sad.

RCP was giving out red flags at Occupy Oakland. I got one from one of the guys there and felt that I needed to sit there and listen to him talk because I got a red flag from him. Then he handed me a paper and I promptly left very politely. Although there was more shit between them and anarchists. I heard one RCP person say they shouldn't pour water on their material, which made me immediately think "Oh gosh, this again" and I left so I didn't have to watch.

Attended the Zenrokyo rally in Tokyo. About 20,000 people. After the rally a big march through the government area. Not too many cops compared to the anti-nuke protests last year.

Then went to a night rally and march with Rosso Koryu Center; militant unionists and other activists. A lot more cops comparatively. We leafleted both of these events plus the Zenroren Tokyo rally with flyers for an Occupy Tokyo Action General Assembly later in the month.

First time I've done two demos in one day.

I would've laughed so fucking hard if someone RAAN'd those bastards right in front of my very eyes.

Also, from Mari3l's Seattle post:

They've also spray painted "Proteltariatism" on the outside of Barney's New York.

I love how it's a public holiday everywhere but the United States, where the freakin' events that inspired the holiday happened.

Seriously, instead we have that farce of Labor Day in September. Sad when most people in the U.S. don't know what the significance of May Day is. I could ask anyone at my work i bet and they wouldn't know, one guy who's a marxist would know, the others would stare at me blankly. I'm just going to start taking every may day off from here and out. I was stuck at work answering phone calls about broken appliances.

It's not a public holiday here either. In fact, the day before is Queen's day (and the night before that Queen's night) which means a night and day of massive boozing, street parties with shitty music, giant flea markets throughout the country, the royal family visiting some shithole while participating in shitty 'traditional games' and everybody dressing up in orange acting all mock-patriotic usually resulting in every living thing having a massive hangover the next few days. I suspect a calculated complot! Queen's night's a good 'booze excuse' that can actually be fun but I seriously Queen's day...
