I have tried to read What is to be done?, but a problem I have with this book is that I sometimes have to reread parts because I don't understand them. So my question is if anyone has some tips to understand this book better or can explain the book in an easier way.

Write your specific questions here and I will help you.

It really helps to understand the background of a lot of things he refers to and, although some will argue, it does help to read it in the Russian original.

It takes a while getting used to how early Marxists wrote since not only do they use thick dogmatic language but they are also writing from a specific time in history.Because of these two facts it can be hard to understand what they are saying and even harder to part with in what manner it is relevant to modern day struggles.

Study some about the history of when Lenin was writing, some letters and background works, the events like the revolution and civil war, and continue to go back and continuously read such works so you can have a more fluent understanding of his style. In my experience as you read more of an author you will begin to understand their style.

I am currently in a "Marx-mood" and I also have difficulties understanding not only words, but entire sentences at some points.
After reading a couple of books of him I understand it better.
Same about Lenin so just keep reading and Im sure you will understand more.
