Ukraine, comrade. ;)
And I think it's a bit more distasteful as it's based on a real tragedy that is still making people suffer (genetically defected children are still being born to Chernobyl's exposure victims). But the movie industry will make a film about anything for big bucks, no?

Excuse me, comrade, Ukraine it was indeed. The effects of said explosion aren't highly spoken of even on historical programs (which show reality shows instead of historical and scientific documentaries). In addition to your comment, I'm not a fan of the whole radio-active zombie thing. Neither did I appreciate the whole infection of a city from rabies which turned the populous into a zombie.

Ok, so we all know that it's terrible that capitalists are willing to capitalize on people who are still suffering after past disasters (i.e. Kony 2012), but, let's be honest; who would not be willing to waste $20 to see this piece of shit? We all know it's going to be terrible, but we can't help the urge to go see shitty horror movies. :)

Ok, let's look at this from a materialist historical perspective: USA is not making movies that only play in Kansas anymore +. And, if there is any horror movie that could have a possibility in real life, it would be in such catastrophe zones. So, plus point + for bringing Hollywood viewers a little closer to reality (which the high point of reality is the class consciousness). Maybe a sign of Capital being forced to give in more to awakening class consciousness in the US? Or i am i looking into this too much? Yes, ok, nevermind. Nirvana! I feel high... i have to go for a run. Goodbye, Socialism will Win!

Ah, speaking of pricks who make movies, fuck Sacha Baron Cohen. He exploits the people who work on his films, just so you know (To say nothing of the discriminatory/stereotyping nature of his films YES I KNOW IT'S ON PURPOSE but still hate it).
Not exactly a movie to be endorsing (especially monetarily) in my opinion. Rip that shit over the net.
The real Chernobyl documentary.
it's difficult to watch. But should be required viewing.
