Greetings, comrades. I went to the doctor yesterday and my Blood Pressure was 173 over 120, it's never been that high before. Last time it was checked it was about 124 over 60. Since I've left the national guard a year ago I've gained 20 pounds and have ate high-sodium foods. Anyways, I'm inquiring about low-sodium foods that anyone knows about. I'm not talking about fruits and veggies because I know they're low, I'm talking about meat.

A good way to keep your sodium low is to have more potassium in your diet, as well as drinking more water.

All I know is that lunch meats, premade meals.. etc, along with some types of bread are high in sodium.

So it seems just cut out the processed crap, don't put too much salt on your food (use other flavourings - fresh herbs, spices, pepper etc.), have lots of fresh fruit, veg, non-processed meats and wholegrains/wholemeal food and you'll be fine.
