haven't heard it yet. What does everyone think?

Tell you a funny story. So I'm on my way to my sisters place and I stop at Zellers to buy the freaking album. last time I was tehre I was looking for Evil Empire and the chick at the check out said they didnt carry rage. I asked why. She said it was because they were too "rage-ie". I said fine and I left. That was like many many many monthes ago.

So now theres a new album and I think they GOT to have it. Its new, right? So on my way to the music section I grab three 2 litre bottles of cola and am lke balancing them in my arms. Like I'm a pretty big guy so its not a problem. I get to the music section. No rage. So I'm gonna rage. Like, "No rage? What the fuck? Here's some fucking rage!" But I play it as cool as I can. I carefully balance all three two litre bottles on the highest rack I can find. So carefully that the slightest nudge would cause all three to fall. Like a guerila trap ala Che guevara. I make sure they're all set and I start walking out.

half way to the door I hear 'em go off. The first goes with a loud pop and a hissing sound. I gotta cover my mouth. Then the next two BANG! POP! and some startled cries of despair. No rage? FUCK YOU and FUCK OFF!!! Three cola bombs later and I'm out the door. See ya later you mom and pop anti-rage morons. Hope you like your soda s-plodin! LOSERS!

It's good. I like how he says "some of those that hold office, are the same the burn crosses" something like that.

I whipped out the battle of mexico city dvd just to get me in the mood for the new one.

What's the original lyric?

I was searching the net, some sites said
"some of those that work forces, are the saints that burn crosses"
or
"some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses"
or
" Some of those that were forces are the same that burn crosses "

I know on the new cd out the lyric is...
"some of those that hold office, are the same the burn crosses"

I can't find my album to check what is written.

allrigh allright allright allright allright

CHECK THIS!

so later on that day, I go back to survey the damage, right? allright. and its like mayham. apparantly I damaged like thousands of dollars of stuff. when my pop bombs went off, one of them like FLEW into a display case and smashed the fuck out of all of this electronic shit.

I don't know this or nothing, though. I'm just walking over while there's this buzz in the air.

then the checkout chick screams "THATS HIM!"

and I dont even pretend to not know what she's talking about

I bee line my ass outta there, hop in my car and daffy duck my way home

SO LONG, LOSERS!!!

next time they'll know what it means to a rage fan to be denied access to pre-recorded rage. they get the real thing, in person, live, and too hot too handle.

I have always thought it was "Some of those that were forces are the same that burn crosses", but I may be wrong.

I think it's "Some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses." Sounds the most logical to me...

Okay I have the new CD, which is just a live CD but I like it.

In the first verse he says

"Some of those that were forces, are the same that burn crosses"

and in the second verse he says

"Some of those that burn crosses, are the same that hold office"

I dont think it is like that in the original but that is how it is in the new CD.

this might not be good news, but FUCK IT! TURN IT OFF! FEAR IS 'YA ONLY GOD, on tha RADIO, nah FUCK IT! Your saviour ,y gui-oh-teen!

allright, right? right.

allright. so like now I'm watching TV at home. good old TV. no rage or anything sweet like that. just wacthing the news. and you know what? I'm like all over it! theres an APB about what is being described as "a caucasian male, devastatingly handsome, with a wild side a mile wide causing AM MAYHAM undressed ( and blessed by the lord ) at the local supermarket ".

Im all like FUCK THAT! it was an accident. FUCK THAT!

so now I'm all "cooped" up and scared and shit. I didn't mean it anyway. not really, I guess. it just sort of happened. thats what I'm gonna tell the feds when they kick my door in. I plan on using the RAGE defence anyway.

in front of the judge I'm gonna BREAK IT! BREAK IT! BREAK IT DOWN! huh!

It is Zellers. They deserve it. I worked 9 months for that piece of shit company. I mean, they pay higher than minimum wage, but the managers are the laziest *****iest I've ever known. I was called by my manager one day and I went over to see what she wanted and she pointed at a toy on the ground and told me to pick it up.

All the power to ya, burn that shit down :)

Laziness has nothing to do with it, she took the effort to call you. It is to put you in your place, I have had managers do it to me before.

The original lyrics are something along the lines of 'some of those that were forces are the same that burn crosses'.

When they do it live they say 'some of those that hold office are the same that burn crosses', they have been doing that ever since they first performed it live, presumably they thought of it after having released the first album. Anyway, its curious that they don't have the lyrics to Killing in the Name in the sleeve of the first album.

I'm not a rage fan anymore, I started listening 6 years ago and I have outlistened it now. I think they went downhill when they released Battle of Los Angeles, the first album and Evil Empire where great, but the third was a rock album really. Renegades was fairly good. I think Audioslave are excellent though, I will definately get their next album.

The new album is nowhere near their best. Hopefully they can get back to their best standard for the next one.

wasn't going to share this, as an ongoing account of my venture into an attempt to purchase the new album, but received some encouragement

so check this out - HUH!

my tellie just finishes the broadcast, all about me, right? and I hear a knock at my door. like somebodies knocking on it. or something.

just pretend not to hear it. nah, thats just way too coincidental. but the way my life goes, par for the course. then I hear it AGAIN. and AGAIN. like somebodies REALLY knocking on it.

I don't got time to dick around. got my backpack, and am out the window. see some sedan I don't recognize. phhhht. fucking feds undercover or something. see, I know stuff. lots of stuff. like when the feds are all over something. like me. like right now.

time to gather up the troops and launch a soda bomb campaign. all targets been pre-aquired. new targets pending. a systematic searching of all retail chains regarding the sale of the new RATM album. see, what nobody knows is I got a half dozen two litre jobs in my backpack. YEAH!

so, first place I find without the new album, a simple process.

hi shelf, a smile and a wave.

THERE ya go!

just got the DVD this past tuesday....classic Rage at their finest..

Songlist is good, has alotta my fav's. (Although could use 'Maria'!)

extras are good, disappointed that there's no interviews with the band...according to rumours, i thought there would be. Damn!

Umm, overall its a really good concert, bonus material is good as well..

(I was just blasting it on my pops' surround sound. Friggin awesome!)
