Where are some good Marxist critiques of the liberalism movement? I've read "Combat Liberalism," by Mao, but it seemed like his idea of "liberal" was anyone who didn't pledge themselves 100% to the Chinese Communist Party rather the the actual political view, nor did it offer any real advice on combatting liberalism on intellectual grounds.

I really liked Zizek's thoughts in "The Market Mechanism For The Race Of Devils," because he pointed out how liberalism presents itself as the lesser of all evils, and condemns any attempts to change the status quo as inevitably leading to mass murder and failure, but some of his stuff is a bit too hard for me to decipher. Are there any good critiques out there over the subject?

Yeah.. I was about to say, Mao's "Combat Liberalism" really didn't have much to do with liberalism.

I don't know of many good contemporary works on the subject, but a good classic is Marx's own The German Ideology.

Someone on here posted a video of Barbara Foley, a relatively prominent Marxist, who did a good critique of American liberals at an Occupy Boston event.
