Can sexuality be progressive/reactionary?

A lot of times the argument I see against porn/whatever is that the sex portrayed in mainstream porn is actually "conservative" because theres usually a set pattern or whatever. For people who take this line, does this mean that you think consensual sexual acts can be quantified as progressive or reactionary? How do you measure it?

I'm not sure but since the argument put forward a lot of the time is that the sex in porn is conservative, it follows that some people think it can be.
