I found this text but I think it is not up-to-date. Do you know something more?
With the fall of the Franco’s dictatorship and the creation of the Autonomies Spanish state (1978) the awakening of several zones provoked the born of some nationalist or regionalist movements. Both in the traditional know nations (Catalunya or Països Catalans, Euskal Herria and Galiza) and other zones with less national conscience (Asturies, Argón, Canary Islands,...).

The nowadays more important left nationalist movements are:
Euskal Herria
- Herri Batasuna (People’s Unity); Basque coalition of independentist and social aims. It is considered as the “political branch” of the armed group ETA (Euskadi da Askatasuna, Basque Country of freedom). Recently HB has formed a bigger coalition called Euskal Herritarrok (Basque Citizens).
Països Catalans
- Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (Catalonia’s Republican Left) is an historical party created in 1931 by independentist leader Francesco Maciá. Maciá tried to free Catalonia in1926 with an armed guerrilla but he was discovered and judged. From 1931 to 1933 he became president of the autonomous Catalonia. During Franco’s regime (1939-1975) ERC was highly repressed and late was the last of the parties to be legalized for its Rebublican ideas. It was in crisis during the eighties but from 1988 some young people took the direction of party, defined it as independentist and now have 8% of the vote and 13 MPs.
- There are several Catalan independentist revolutions group, but the movement is highly splited. Only 80s a big movement called MDT arranged many people. Now the most important movement is the Plataforma per la Unitat d’Acció, formed by several minor groups allied only for actions (campaigns,...); otherwise there are Maulets (recently allied to JIR) which is a revolutionary group with more presence in the Valencian Country and formed only by young people. Finally we can talk about the historical PSAN, a socialist independentist party and the new MDT a new group formed at the shadow of the old name.
- The Mallorca’s Socialist Party (PSM) is a left party formed at the end of the 70s, it has moved its praxis to a more centrist which has been awarded by a high share of the vote. It is linked to the Menorca’s Islands PSM and is for the Catalan language in the islands and an ecological position.
- The Bloc Nacionalista Valenciá (BNV) is a center-left movement joining several groups of nationalist ideology. It defends the Catalan language and the right of self determination for the Valencian people.
Galiza
- The Bloque Nacionalista Galego (BNG) is the biggest left nationalist movements in the Galician nation. Formed in 1982 it is alliance or patriotic front of several groups, mainly leftists; the most important is the Marxist UPG but in the 90s the growing of BNG has been translated in a biggest number of BNG’s member with no affiliation in none of the parties inside. BNG results are very good and it is the second Galician party. Apart of this there are some revolutionary movements FPG. AMI (only formed by youth) or PL ( MLN) which is communist; all of them are independentist, socialist and revolutionary but their importance is not big in the Galician society.
Asturies
- Andecha Astur is the left-wing nacionalist movement in Asturies. It fights for self-determination and officialisation of the Asturian language as well as the defence of the worker’s right. In special the miners. It has not more representation than a local councillor.
Aragón
- The impressive growing of Chunta Aragonesista (CHA) has been combined with a more moderate image. CHA is a leftist movement but nowadays is more moderate than some years ago in the national terms. In spite of this can be considered a popular movement for self-determination. More of this CHA new vote was previously a PAR vote, being PAR a center-right aragonesist party.
Cantabria
- Conceju Naciunaliegu Cántabru is a new formed movement with a 0’5% of the vote. It combines the social and national vindications. It was formed two years ago.
Castilla
- Some groups in Castilla are against the Spanish state which, in fact, is a Castillan imperium. They vindicate Castilla is also oppressed by Spain as a creation of the Castillan oligarchy. Although they do not have cultural vindications they are revolutionary and nationalist. The more conservative is Tierra Comunera - Partido Nacionalista Castellano and the more leftist is the Casstilanl Popular Unity (UPC). While the first is increasing the second is not very present.
Andalucia
- Nación Andaluza is the final step of several intents to create a left and nationalist movement in Andalusia. It is a minor group which can achieve over 10.000 votes in a population of 8 milion people.
Canarias
Officially managed by the Spanish state but geographically part of Africa, the Canary islands have a big nationalist movement in Coalición Canaria but it is center-right. Meanwhile some groups are independist and have a social leftist position. They are, in special, the Canarian National Congress (CNC) of the historical leader Antonio Cubillo and the Frepic-Awañak created at the end of the 80s.
