this probably went right past a lot of people but in the light of the trayvon martin shooting has come up again. kenneth chamberlaine sr. was shot to death by officers in nov. 2011 after accidentally setting off his medical alarm necklace. he was unarmed.

also some things worth noting:
mr chamberlaine was a 68 year old black man living in a new york projects.
the officer that fired was white.
on audio that was recovered one of the officer clearly calls chamberlaine a "nigger".

Dear friends, americans are smart, rebellious

American culture is anti-intellectual and focused on maintaining the status quo. Although events such as these anger or sadden some Americans, that does not mean the country is at the brink of worker's revolution. To call this wishful thinking would be litotes.
