Call Attorney General Eric Holder. Free Bradley Manning. Protest Solitary Confinement.
Department of Justice Main Switchboard - 202-514-2000
Office of the Attorney General Public Comment Line - 202-353-1555
Please call the Department of Justice to ask Eric Holder use his influence to free Bradley Manning, put an end to the brutal practice of solitary confinement, and to protect whistle-blowers.
The Bradley Manning Support Network has called for international days of action in solidarity with Bradley Manning's next scheduled day in court, April 24th. Thus far twelve events have been organized internationally by Bradley's supporters. In particular, an Occupy DOJ rally is being held in Washington DC, in front of the Department of Justice building. See below for more info.
We'll be there to demand an end to the all-to-common use of prolonged solitary confinement as a psychological weapon. Bradley Manning spent eleven months in solitary confinement, in conditions which the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture has called “cruel, inhuman and degrading”. The chief torture investigator's requests to visit with Bradley Manning have been repeatedly blocked by the Obama administration.
Further, last month Attorney General Eric Holder called for a “profound national commitment to ensuring an open government.” PFC Bradley Manning has been abused and tortured for allegedly telling the truth. His actions, if he did what he is accused of doing, revealed to the world significant war crimes, coverups, and unnecessary secrecy. Whistle-blowers, as Obama's campaign pledge states, are vital to a vibrant democracy. No one was harmed by the documents published by WikiLeaks, and hence we must ask Eric Holder how he can claim to support an open government while persecuting so brutally those who reveal the truth.
Call Eric Holder. Demand Bradley's Freedom.

Bradley Manning spent almost a year in solitary confinement, and it has almost been two years that he is in prison. The trial has yet to begin. This is not justice.
Stand with Bradley April 24th-26th.
Bradley Manning's supporters are organizing events around the world in solidarity with his next court appearance. The military has scheduled a three day motion hearing for April 24th. In Washington DC supporters will be rallying in front of the Department of Justice on the 24th, and then in front of the Ft. Meade main gate on the 25th. The court is open to the public, and we encourage supporters to attend. For those not near the DC area, find an event near you or host your own!
