So, I was thinking, in a post-revolutionary society presumably there would still be criminals. I would argue that there would be significantly less crime given that during the revolution the financial incentive or survival tactics would be addressed and be rendered null and void. With this being said however there would still arguably still be criminals as we so define them such as those whom commit murder, child molestation or violence against children and youths, rapists (even though this figure might go down substantially given the cultural changes inherent in the revolution) and so on. If say criminal A has been convicted of a crime under a people's court (a legitimate one, not that silly show) what then? Where would they be detained? Would they need to be? Granted, I feel a lot of the habitual violent criminals suffer from some sort of mental illness so perhaps they could be sent to some asylum for the criminally insane but what about the others?

As I understand the prison system as we know it today would be done away with and rightfully so.

I wasn't aware that anarchists had a different end goal to anyone else. Anarchism is just a different theory of how to get to the same place whether you call that socialism or communism. So if we're talking about post revolutionary society why should a Stalinist give a less correct answer than an anarchist on this subject?

(OK yes I know most of them are sociopaths but not all of them are)

I was mainly curious if there was any Anarchist theories regarding this however I do get your point that no matter what you call it we're trying to get at the main goal however the difference (though I could be mistaken) is that a post-revolutionary society for say a Stalinist would still include the state apparatus and historically the prison system was just as shitty, more or less, as it was under capitalism. What I'm getting at is a post-revolutionary society completely devoid of the state and how the detainment of criminals would actually function or work.

If any of that makes sense.
