I doubt they know the truth.Most believe it is a good idea in theory but should be violently opposed in practice as it leads to Stalinism (as they think). Propoganda and brainwashing have done much to erode the already deficient American conscious on alternative political ideologies.

I'm kind of glad he made this comment, since he made communism sound really appealing to our target audience by equating it with progressivism, more welfare, social and economic justice, fairness, equality, secularism and contraception rights.

That said his description is still wrong, but maybe it will cause people to actually look into the ideology properly (e.g. read actual Marxist texts not what people say about Marx). Anything that makes progressive interested in communism is a plus in my opinion.

I'm really disappointed by one of the top rated comments on the video (at this moment) praising Norway as being 'socialistic'. If you are a revolutionary and that comment appears as a top rated comment when you open the video, can you please give it a thumbs down, so it doesn't appear at the top. I don't want to be mean, but I feel the need to discourage people from equating socialism with reformism.

We tend to be young and self-educated on the matters of revolutionary leftism, but in general, we are definitely more intelligent than people like West, whether we have the diplomas to prove it or not. We are more intelligent than conservatives (most of us), but not necessarily more formally educated, although he usually have extensive self-education. But, unfortunately, we are not as intellectual as the Greek leftists who get to study Plato, Socrates, and Marx on the Acropolis everyday. :)

Hello there. Well look, Nietzsche said that it is almost impossible to know what happens in reality 100%. In other words it is almost impossible to the 100% absolute facts and truths and the real motives and causes of every thing that happens in our world. But from my own personal opinion about why many US citizens still love the capitalist oligarchic pro-war economic political system, the motives and causes of why the majority of US people support the current system has many different factors. One strong is the strong pro-capitalism pro-war mind-manipulating effect of the main 7 TV news channels of USA (CNN, FOX news, ABC, CBS, NBC, Univision and Telemundo), the main pro-war, pro-capitalism newspapers of the country (Washington Post, New York Times, LA Times, Miami Herald and the many other yellow newspapers from each city and state of USA).

And the other factors is the USA has a war-based government that employs 22 million americans, and feeds millions and millions of other americans that one way or the other benefit from the current economic pro-war system of USA.

In other words if the food you have in your kitchen depends on US Government waging wars, and bailing out bankers, from a self-defense mechanism point of view it is only rational for you and your family to support this system that gives you lots of food, nice cars, a house and stability for you and your family. And to rationally fight all marxists and even all anti-war Ron Paulers of the nation for his "Anti-USA" agenda. Because many people in this are mind-manipulated by those 7 pro-war TV news channels and by the pro-war newspapers, so they view any anti-war politician as an anti-USA radical terrorist.

So because the food and basic survival and basic needs of millions and millions of americans depend on the present capitalist oligarchic corporate pro-war political system, and because of the extreme mind-manipulating power of the 7 capitalist pro-war TV news channels and of the pro-war capitalist newspapers, that is really why the majority of americans still love The Republican Party, The Democratic Party and the capitalist pro-war imperialist political philosophy of the Democrats and Republicans.

So the introduction of Marxism and anti-war republicanism ideology into the minds of the general american population is a lot more complicated than we realize

Another thing that i wanted to add to the causes of why most americans are so right-wingers is that most poor oppressed people of this country are not very communicative. Around where I live people are very quiet and live a life of secrecy, they are social phobics, agora-phobics, and hate talking. With a society so quiet, in *mute mode* it is real hard to break the ice with them in order to strike a conversation with them about their complains, pains and needs. Even the local church pastor here said that in this country nobody talks everybody is so quiet. He said that in other nations that he has been people talk in supermarkets, in stores and in public places. He claimed that in this country people tend to have an avoidant personality.

Indeed, you know what I noticed about people in America? That when they walk into a Wal Mart, supermarket or any retail store they talk while glued to their cell phones, as a tool to evade eye-contact and social contact with other humans.

This is a hardcore anti-people, anti-humans, anti-social relationships society of USA. Cubans, Venezuelans, Chinese and many other nations are the total opposite of the anti-social personality of most americans.

This excess of anti-social, anti-people behavior patterns of all american citizens is an impediment for the creation of a large United Marxist Front as a third party option for the 2016 presidential elections in USA
