I enjoyed the part where he tried to side-step the question about whether the CPUSA was in favor of eliminating private property. Who would guess that a communist would have trouble answering such a basic question. Stay relevant CPUSA :rolleyes:

Libero certainly did better than Sam Webb has done in TV interviews, but that could simply be because Thom Hartmann is more "friendly" than Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck. Libero and I went to the Party School at the same time and are still friends today; it's good to see that he has become a CP leader, since he was one of the better ones in the party and YCL when I was a member.

Ugh Webb does awful in interviews. Libero did decent in this one I think, but like you said Hartmann is a nicer and more fair guy than Beck or O'Reilly so that helps. I did find some of LIbero's comments about private property to be a bit wishy-washy, though.

Hmm I didn't know they have so little amount of members, I thought in huge country as USA would be more. And yes seems he did try to avoid answering one question about politicians in relation to CPUSA.

Many of leftists in US look on CPUSA as being corrupt, as that is what I heard from rumors. So far USA is maybe not ready for something to debate as communism but should debate socialism first.

is it not odd to everyone else the vice chairman of the party can only estimate members between 2000 and 3000

i get why he might not want to disclose the numbers or may wish to inflate them, but such wide estimates just makes him seem silly
