Hey I'm sitting in a business class in my last year of high school. The teacher regularly says things that offend my beliefs by supporting cutthroat business. How do I address this?

go FULL COMMUNISM on his ass.

No seriously, if you're not hell-bent on confrontation with well-laid arguments on your part, there is just no way to talk to people like that. Cutthroaters gonna cutthroat.

1. Why are you taking business?

2. Get the hell out of business. There are better means to learn about economics.

I disagree, there are many things to be learned in business classes; basic economics, finance, accounting, management, etc.

be full on capitalist be over the top randoid psychotically capitalist. Defend businesses whatever they do make the case that people don't matter only profit matters only economic growth matters. Research some businesses which are literally killing people for profits and make the case that it is totally brilliant. Praise their resourcefulness in cutting costs even if people died. But you have to go really over the top and expose everything. If they still agree with it then you're never going to change their minds anyway or you haven't gone far enough. On the other hand if you use their logic but take them past their comfort zone then they may become uncomfortable in their own views. Either that or your teacher will love you. Either way it's win win

Praise their use of 10 year old miners as a good way of keeping costs down.
find other companies like that and repeat the process.
