I have a 4k race in less than a couple of days and it's pretty important. I've done stuff like this and heaps more before, but I don't have any professional training or anything like that. So, should I just be loading carbs and drinking water or in your experience do you think it's best to do a little exercise leading up? I know it's often a personal thing, but any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.

Nothing beyond a stretch is needed.. Easy with the water.

Don't load carbs, don't drink too much water either. Feeling dehydrated is better than having a cramp from drinking too much water. Stretch, play a song in your head, do a slow 400 if you feel the need too (at least 15 mins before you run).
