View Full Version : Are there any ongoing struggles that are with a large anarchist influence?

I think that anarchists are a big part of what's going on in Europe, especially Greece and Spain, but those movements are more aimed at reforming corrupt governments and fighting austerity measures. Are there any popular revolutionary movements (like the EZLN was) which are heavily influenced by anarchists?

occupy oakland, and occupy SF to a lesser extent, i don't know if ether is a "popular revolutionary movement".

Popular anarchist agitation is occurring on the US west coast and it has led to several very large successful actions via Occupy. Also note occupy's GA process on the west.

The last popular movement outside of Europe that had traces of anarchism was Oaxaca in 2006, or at least that's the last one that I can remember.
