I have recently studied quite a bit into Communist theories, and I stumbled across this website. I hope I find a good group of like-minded individuals who will help a young Commie learn. :)

After reading the stickies, I decided to type a little more.

I come from a mixed background (politically, that is). My mother is a moderate, and my father is a brainwashed conservative Proletarian (I still love him though, as flawed as he is). I started becoming interested in Communism about three months ago. I started studying Communism, and I agreed with a lot of it (duh!). I don't know what theory I follow most yet, but I am against extreme authoritarianism and Stalinism. I guess I would be a Libertarian Trotskyist or Marxist. But, I am still doing some political soul-searching, so yeah... there you go. There are my ramblings.

EDIT: Upon doing a little peeking around, I stumbled upon 'Council Communism'. I like it, but still agree with the Trotskyist ideal of Global Revolution ^_^

Nice background and ideas it seems, don't worry about "fitting" into an ideology too much though, just read more and more and call yourself whatever you feel comfortable doing.

I would suggest to you not to become a Trotsky's follower. According to some modern theorists of Trotskyism, called "Galactic Trotskyism", a global Earth revolution might not be enough and we would have to go for a galactical revolution if we are to build real socialism instead of degenerated bureucratic Stalinist dictatorship. So that might prove quite a challenge! :D
