or rather, 'red youth', the cpgb-ml's group for young 'uns.

suprisingly nicely designed with a slogan along the lines of 'marxism breaks all chains' and a sorta abstract illustration of chains being broken. i can't really remember much about how it looks after being so shocked about whose poster it was.

so yeah, i must live around some cpgb-ml members. i wanna find them.

The cpgb-ml has a history of being very...strange to say the least.

which is why their sudden presence, in such close proximity to where i live, is so strange/awesome/somewhat unnerving.

actually, their hall in london (where they recently held a vigil for kim jong-il) is quite close to where i was born, raised, and occasionally still live.

Might wanna think about moving :D

Did they really hold a vigil for Kim Jong-Il? Jesus fucking christ!

It is so difficult for communists to reach out to the people..... sometimes when they manage to draw attention, mostly its ignored...but we should praise their efforts in such prevailing scenario.

Is it fishing in the wrong class?

I'm going to attend a DKP party meeting when I get the chance to "check out the scene". I hope to find some non-MLs even though the party line is.

It is not so much that they are supporting revisionists (they are quite revisionist themselves), they are actually just supporting the memory of a leader that bravely fought against imperialism and the expansion of capitalist superpowers. The only problem with that is how much they worship anti-imperialist leaders like Kim Il Sung, instead of just supporting them. It is sort of creepy. Kim Il Sung might have been a brave anti-imperialist leader, but he sure as hell was not a good Marxist-Leninist and especially not a god. The worst part is that they call themselves a good anti-revisionist party, yet they are known as having one of the strongest ties of any communist party in the world with one of the worst of the revisionist parties, the Workers' Party of Korea.

LOL at picture. That is a pretty good explanation of their relationship.

The video was pretty good . . . until the guy started talking. Then it started to go downhill until I finally stopped watching it after 8 minutes.

None of your scorn will even dent their ironclad belief that they are the vanguard of the British working class. They are awash with money, so we must be content and say they be eccentric. If at all you have a weak bladder and tend to laugh hysterically AT rather than with folk. Then you have been warned. An out of tune piano, attacked, yes that is the image by a middle aged woman with the most engaging of smiles. "East is Red" thankfully sung in English . The words thoughtfully printed out on the leaflet. Some time before I dared leave the cubicle, floods of tears and shameful stain on pants and character. To mock the afflicted as Ma told me was a low trick. Dodgers are better than that.:blushing:

Well if this is happening randomly than maybe we have something to learn from their party (methods, that is). You may not like them but how would you feel if it was the EDL or BNP putting up posters?

You are a communist.

They are the communist party.

Ergo you must be a member of the communist party because you are a communist and why wouldn't you be a member? Maybe you aren't a communist after all.

Not quite - the PSL has never gone completely batshit over anything, whereas the CPGB-ML does that about five times a month.

Regardless of whether you like the party you should be very pleased that someone identifying and working as a revolutionary communist is in your flat :)

cpgb-ml have some problems but theyre certainly a lot better than groups like the swp. the party is growing well it seems

Verbal warning for one-liner post, off-topic picture x2 (one is a redundancy). Again this isn't chit chat.

I can't decide whether to close this thread since its been derailed, move it to learning or to chit chat. If folks want to talk shit on this POLITICAL organization, take it to a POLITICAL forum not the NON-POLITICAL forum.

Thread closed.
