Well Anarchopedia has already been around for quite a while, since before the conservative one I believe, and I noticed at the bottom of this new one that a number of their articles are actually copied from Anarchopedia. Seems a bit silly to have two when most of the articles will be written from a very similar point of view on both Wikis.

I've heard of this website before, the only problem I have with it is that it's rather small compared to the vast database of our political rivals, the conservatives. Hopefully more people will contribute to the site, I would love to see an open source vast database on Communism and other communist theories.

Is it Communist or does it support every nation that calls itself 'Communist.'

That's a good question, I don't know which tendency of the leftist spectrum they identify themselves other than communism. I'm sure reading an article about Joseph Stalin, or Mao Tse-Tung will wield an answer.

Well i was reading Trotsky, Mao, and Stalin and they seem to each have been written from each ideologies perspective.

Anarchopedia (http://anarchopedia.org/Main_Page) indeed is richer in content and has made the switch already towards a multi-language wiki.

Then again, I don't really trust the reliability of either small wikis (Anarchopedia English has 5300 articles, Communpedia has 2200 articles) to stay up. So perhaps a sort-of mirroring is a good idea. The more places this information is available, the better I think.

Do they have communist authors on anarchopedia?

That's great, there should be a leftist wiki that is large. A united leftist front in any form is something I wholeheardtley support.

Yes, I started this list (http://eng.anarchopedia.org/List_of_Left-Wing_Parties_in_the_Netherlands) for example.

As is in the nature of wikis, anyone is free to add and amend.

Just has 275 articles though. I don't really think that's serious. But the layout is interesting.

The few articles I read were littered with spelling mistakes and showed a distinctly Stalinist viewpoint.

The article on Karl Marx features the following gem:

For political reasons, Karl Marx converts from Judaism to protestantism.

It seems they don't know what they are talking about.

Social democracy is a democratic Marxist political tendency.

[...]

Examples of social-democratic parties:

British Labour Party
German Social Democratic Party
European Alliance of Progressives and Socialists

[...]

The Democratic Party in the United States is a coalition which incorporates significant elements of social democracy, including a few members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

This clearly isn't going by the original definition of social democracy either with the parties they mention. Seems very CPUSAy.

First time I ever saw this entry http://en.communpedia.org/RevLeft :D

It is currently the only political forum of its kind in that it brings together a wide range of views from across the radical left political spectrum, easily being the largest radical leftist forum online.

I'm outraged that on Anarchopedia the article on Ayn Rand is longer than Kropotkin's, Bakunin's, and Proudhon's combined. This is something in need of severe correction.

Someone could create one and see if it stands. But to be blunt, a lot of the Wikipedia admins are shitty with the power they have and even if RevLeft has more users (does it? I don't personally know) they'd probably try and take the page down for ideological reasons.
