Both are pathetic clowns. The PSL guy deserves more ridicule for deviating from the Scientific mode of thought and resorting to moralist-emotional attacks. As for the florida sunburnt petite bourgeois fuck, it's these insects that will have to be squashed in the midst of the revolution.

Given the fact that leftist thought is becoming more and more relevant and discussed even in the fact that they are making "scary" movies about the "evils of socialism" (any publicity is good publicity, right?), I believe that we will once again see the people in this world divided into two camps. A reactionary one, and a leftist one. As that seems to be the pattern whenever capitalism is in crisis.

How is he a libertarian capitalist but opposes the free flow of a commodity (labour via "illegal" emigrants)? There are many things wrong with that idiot but I just wanted to share that. PSL did a good job of matching the libertarian's logical fallacies.

Libertarians not knowing anything and confused quasi-Brezhnevites not defending Marxism correctly.
So what's new, guys?

Why are the clowns in the PSL quasi-Brezhnevites? They're quasi-Stalinists if anything(they call themselves Marxist-Leninists, of course).

I am talking about the libertarian, he doesn't wanna give status to 'illegals' cause they'll 'vote for socialism,' but no he's not a racist. He is against racism (anyone who argues against socialists). He is firmly against affirmative action racism, only the gray matter in your brain matters.

Mike Prysner, never missing a chance to get on tv when he should be cleaning up the mess that is the LA PSL branch. Is it me or does Prysner look like he's ready to cry at the end? He's a decent speaker, at best.

The quasi- is of course an unnecessary prefix. They love Brezhnev and Khrushchev, who actual Stalinist sympathisers, including even the semi-illiterate Stalin-kiddies, loathe.

I'll admit my understanding of communism is very limited, but I don't think the Socialist did that well in this debate. I'm curious what kind of arguments the community of revleft would make. Does anybody know of libertarian vs socialist debates, in which the libertarian loses? Thanks!

meh, its the nature of these debates where its set up as 'which is the better system: capitalism or socialism?'. They're pretty useless beyond TV entertainment. You wernt expecting the PSL guy to come on an explain how historical materialism shows that the relations of production that prevail currently are a fetter on the productive forces and therefore the proletarian class will seize the means of production and recreate society in its own image, creating socialist relations of product, all out of historical necessity according to the materialist conception of history (or whatever you class as the Scientific mode of thought), were you? On these sort of sound byte TV things, its much better to do what the DSA guy did on glenn beck, just throw out some stuff to throw the other person for a loop. Or point out easily explainable contradictions in capitalism.
He said Sarah Palin is the most socialist candidate because she make oil up there a kind of public resource, now allthough calling that socialist is not accurate, it at least threw glenn beck for a loop, did'nt let him lead the conversation, and hopefully got some people to think.
