i go to art therapy every week.
it is really helpful and beats hands down all the years of cognitive and behavioural therapy i have been put through.

My mum's half-sister is both an artist and an art therapist. She works in a rural part of the Irish Republic, where client groups are mixed :)

I probably wouldn't have made it through some really hard times without music. I owe music my life.

What really chills me out, is Indian classical music, particularly the devotional variety. I love the sound of the sitar and the tabla.

A good CD is Devotion at Dawn, by Pandit Arvind Parikh. It's well sweet, listening to that of an evening, with some incense burning.

Another way of relaxing for me, is playing my African djembe drum. I find if I'm stressed, I can just pick it up and knock out a few beats. In the summer, I go to the park or the quarry, and can spend hours there, sat on the grass with my drum :)
