Well. Hillary Clinton has just said "Russia is keeping Assad in Power". The US still has their nuclear missiles in Germany, Turkey, Poland and Ukraine or Romania; pointed at Russia. Don't underestimate the insanity of capitalism.

Look, China has just now had a collapse of its export growth from 18% to 8%, during 'normal' non-financial crises times. No bourgeois media know why, that's because they've never read about the "Falling Rate of Profit". Objectively looking at this situation, a huge war with millions of debt carriers eliminated, would be a great thing for capitalism, "Destruction of Capital Value". I don't doubt that Politicians everywhere are looking for war. Only this one will be nuclear...

That is not to say i think this will happen any time soon, but it is a definite possibility for the future.
