I've always liked Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, I'd recommend that if you don't mind strong jazz influences in your classical.

I particularly like the work of Claudio Monteverdi. Not strictly speaking classical music, actually Baroque. I adore his rendition of Beatus Vir (spiritual music, even though I'm not religious lol). But I think you might like it. I tried (unsuccessfully) to embed it. So here is a link:

I also like the Brandenburg Concertos (Bach). Again Baroque, but pretty good:

Hope you enjoy :)

The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, if you have any inclination to listen to opera. Even if you don't this work is amazing and you might like it. It was a bit seditious too. Based on Beaumarchais critique of noble privileges, it is surprising that Mozart was able to even present it in the old Hapsburg Empire.

Anthony Hopkins actually just released an album of really good classical music, damned hard to find, though, at least in the US.

As for opera, Nixon in China is a fun one.

I can't post links yet but in addition to the greats such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and so on I have always loved the works of Dvořák.

Vivaldi's Four Seasons is a personal favorite of mine.

Yes.. How did I forget Vivaldi

Here's an intense piece by Dvorak, Symphony No. 9 in E Minor "From the New World" Op. 95 (4/5).
