I have thought about buying it when it comes out but am still unsure as I do not play many video games lately and am very selective about what I spend money on (especially if it is a PC game).

Yeah, but I'm not going to get it straight away, games are far too expensive at launch. Also I think they changed too many things on D3, I'm afraid it might lose the balance of the 2nd.

Another problem is that Blizzard are going to develop the Diablo Market even further, which is really bad. One of the reasons I stopped playing Multiplayer on D2 was because of the advantage people had when they bought gear with they're actual money. It's bullshit. You could be weeks trying to find a piece of armor only for some asshole to spend 50$ on it.

Where would the patch be?

And yup, I have the expansion. I bought the battle chest.

Install D2 and D2:LOD.

Download the fan patch HERE (http://d2se.org/d2se/D2SE_V2.2.0.exe).

Install it to your Diablo 2 directory.

Run the "D2SE" apllication and choose patch 1.13c, with PlugY. Click on run plugin.

Voila.

Just get an xbox 360. I've got a gaming PC and an Xbox and only use the PC for old games like Diablo 2 and Counter Strike.

There are no grand strategy games, turn-based strategy games on consoles and there's no worthwhile rts games either, they're the type of games that I'm mostly interested in. Plus.. I'm not a big fan of console gaming. And 9/10 times, I wont need to buy games for my PC because I can torrent them.

And I need a pc anyway. My laptop is too restrictive.

Not really. I played Victoria 2 and thought it was just too much hassle to learn everything, and I absolutely hate micromanagement. I played Civ5 and got bored after a few days.

BUT I deleted it from my comp over 4 years ago and have tried my best not to look back. It's still the only game I find myself really wanting to play. But I think it's better for my life if I don't get involved in the D2 world again.
