I kind of think of it as a finance capitalist. A big bank. I'm sure this is an oversimplified way to look at it.

Just another capitalist country. But I like how they solved the problem of nationalism.

Along with being one of the capital centers if the world, my French teacher from Belgium said it is also one of the most conservative nations in all of Europe. There are special societal rules on when women can drink beer and interact with men, they are quite xenophobic against Muslims, and women could not even vote at the federal level until 1971. But when it comes to banking, I would be careful with trying to shove the entire country underwater by saying it is all about banking over there.

They solved the majority problems. The minotiries in western European are really a problem, which nobody wants to solv. They don't even try to, because minorities need that country, and it doesn't matter if they clean toalets or pets.

Aside from the false claim to neutrality, shameless exsploitation of the working class and being a cesspool of reactionary thinking they do at least make very handy knives.
