This makes me want to persecute some reactionary Christians.

If it was for an afteroon and they supplied lunch I wouldn't mind. I get bored in the afternoons.

They should make an MTV show out of this: "Jesus Kidnappings" "Reverse Persecution" one of those names
Maybe I would actually start watching MTV.

If they wanted to show them the extent of Christian persecution in this day and age, they could have taken them to a gay wedding. That's really about as severe as it gets.

Speaking of, there's a new preacher who's destined to become the next Phelps, from an Arizona baptist church, an insane, rabid homophobe, who preaches that America and most churches are run by gays:

It goes from bad to worse, doesn't it. It's a good job I won't be applying for entry to the ministry. As a bisexual male, I don't think I would go down to well :D

Wow, Christian persecution around the world, particularly in the Middle East and Asia, but also in many others is no laughing matter. It is a shame that they would do this, not to mention the reactionary Christian groups in the U.S. that persecute homosexuals, attempt to integrate church and state, commit terrorist attacks, etc.

In Islamic countries there is indeed religious persecution, but for the most part everywhere else Christians are usually the aggressors, and not the other way around. A good example is India, a country which is under attack from (mainly US funded) Christian missionaries who want to wipe Hinduism off the face of the earth. There's been a lot of religious conflicts there, but the interesting fact is that attacks on Christians by Hindus (which admittedly have happened quite a bit) have been almost entirely in retaliation for Christian abuses toward Hindus (publicly insulting Hinduism, trying to forcibly convert or scam Hindus, &c). Conversely, Christian (and Islamic) violence against Hindus is nearly always unprovoked and motivated by rabid intolerance. A notorious case (in which the large US missionary 'charity' World Vision was involved) was the murder of Swami Lakshamanda (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swami_Lakshmanananda), a hindu monk who was providing charity to tribal Hindus and who was intent on protecting them from the missionary parasites who were exploiting them. He was murdered by Christian maoists, and an investigation into the murder led back to World Vision as the ones who ordered the hit.
One of the most dangerous terrorist groups currently active in India is the National Liberation Front of Tripura (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Liberation_Front_of_Tripura) (which is funded by the local Baptist church), which has terrorized the northeast of the country by forcing locals to convert to Christianity at gunpoint and want to establish a theocratic Christian state.
So essentially Christians are usually the persecutors. It's just that they love to play the persecution card and paint themselves as victims whenever anyone even just disagrees with them. They go out and destroy cultures and scam the poor, and when people fight back and say no to them, their response is always to scream "Help! We're being persecuted for our beliefs!"

The above post by P has a lot of truth in it. Christians usually provoke people and when people react, they play the victim card. The media supports these 'victims' without bothering about the other side of the story. Bottom line, Christians are no victims, they've always been aggressors but love playing the victim card and fool gullible people.

An even worse one. A pastor and his church buddies kidnapped, beat and forced a 13 year old to dig his own grave, for 'disciplinary' reasons....

This is why I like the Albanian solution: burn down all churches and outlaw all religion. If implemented worldwide, that solution would make the world a much better place.
