I search on theese leaders on wikipedia.com

On Brezhnev; During Brezhnev's rule, the global influence of the Soviet Union grew dramatically, in part because of the expansion of the Soviet military during this time, but his tenure as leader has often been criticised for marking the beginning of a period of economic stagnation, overlooking serious economic problems which eventually led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.

On the Dissolution of the Soviet Union page is said; In order to revive the stagnant Soviet economy, in the 1980s, Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev began a process of increasing political liberalization (glasnost/perestroika) in the erstwhile totalitarian, communist one-party state. However, this liberalization led to the emergence of long-repressed nationalist movements and ethnic disputes within the diverse republics of the Soviet Union

Are thoose two leaders the reason or some of the reasons why the USSR fell in 1991?
I am looking for some answars here on RevLeft, because I don't have the time to read thoose long articles right now.

Bourgeois politicians, no more no less. Two individuals can't make something like that happen though.
