I went to the Metal-Archives this morning only to discover it was taken down. Does anyone know why exactly? The front page basically says the site was taken down for piracy reasons.

That site only provided information, not access to downloadable materials. Unless there was a hidden linking game in the forums, though from what I rember when I posted there for a brief period of time, that was not the case.

Yeah... This is bullshit, I'm guessing its because of lyrics and copyright infringement, fuck the USA for taking down one of my favorite websites, it helped me find bands I never knew existed, I'm guessing its also because people would use the information on the site to help them find songs on youtube and then download them using youtube-mp3.

I think it´s an april´s fools joke. If you wait a little or click the federal banner shit you can enter the site and use it like before.
