A policeman in London has been suspended after a black man secretly recorded officers allegedly racially abusing him with a string of insults.

The 21-year-old says he made the recording on his mobile phone when he was arrested after last summer's riots.

To be fair, it's a bit more than pigs being pigs. The Crown Prosecution Servce were involved as well. They are an altogether higher grade of state lackey than a police officer, and like to see themselves, no doubt, as just.

In this case, they refused to take action against the Police, until the racially abused man's friend threatened to make the material on his mobile phone public.

This being so, I think it is a more newsworthy item than the average racist cop story, and I am glad to see it presented on these boards.

Could the guy possibly sue the officer? Nothing would make me feel better than if this got his paycheck.

Taking action in the civil courts is a possibility, I suppose. The chances of this being successful, are more likely if the police officer/s concerned are successfully prosecuted and convicted.
